No doubt about it, life is complicated. Work, human relationships-even our spiritual life can feel confusing at times. Faith at Work does not deny the complexity of life. Rather we offer an approach to faith and life that honors complexity, and seeks to find God in the midst of it. Our retreats, trainings, magazine and other resources, offer support in a complicated world.

We hope you will give generously to keep our ministry vibrant.

Magazine:

Thanks for the work you do. As the year closes and there is much pressure to find every last dollar to invoice and make budget, reading Faith at Work this morning on the train ride into work was very centering. I can't remember the last time I hopped off the train singing 'Great is thy Faithfulness'. I'm not really sure where the 'thoughts' from Faith at Work will lead me, but I wanted to just say thanks for the work you do to put those thoughts in front of me.

Pilgrimages:

The FAW Guatemala trip was a trip of awe-filled experiences for me. It was a mental, physical, and spiritual enterprise that will always be a highlight of my life. I believe that we, as FAW made a difference: More children can attend school in three new classrooms, and a clean bathroom will vastly improve healthy conditions for the village. The coats of paint will bring a small sense of beauty and cleanliness for the children of the dump...the sandwiches, juice and bread are temporary but welcome relief from the hunger that stalks these people daily. Small changes were made in Guatemala, but the largest changes were most evident in our FAW group. At least for me the most lasting changes are from what I received, not what I gave.

Retreats:

Though I have a wonderful home church, my trip to a FAW Women's Event each year is the most important thing I do for my own spiritual health. There is no substitute for the company of the remarkable women who attend these events, for the laughter, music and feelings we share, for the way we read scripture deeply and connect it to our lives. My family, church and community all benefit from the enriching I receive from these holy weekends!

"I am still discovering right up to this moment, that it is only by living completely in this world that one learns to have faith. By this I mean living unreservedly in life's duties, problems, successes and failures, experiences and perplexities. In so doing, we throw ourselves completely into the arms of God." Dietrich Bonhoeffer
